Pros

Pros of working for UBC? Decent salary and benefits and a generous bonus every year. Some very nice people to work with.

Cons

UBC does a fine job at taking bright, hardworking employees, burning them out by refusing to hire the extra employees needed to do a job properly, then blaming them when something inevitably goes wrong. They make the classic mistake of overselling for the amount of staff that is available and trained to successfully create and test the product. They also make commitments to clients for products that staff doesn't have the knowledge and expertise needed to create and maintain. The others who have written about this company are telling the truth. If you are considering working for this company because you are desperate, keep in mind that once you start at UBC, you won't have any time or energy to find something else once you realize that you are in a living hell.

Pros

Extremely good team culture. Everyone is helpful and forthcoming. Focused on patient care. Flexible time off. Fully remote and cameras off. Defined process for the most important processes. Amazing how so many people have been with UBC for 10+ years.

Cons

Potential to overwork oneself with back to back to back meetings and heavy client workload.

Pros

It’s just a paycheck until you get on your feet.

Cons

HR is NOT your Friend‼️ Micromanagement Always Changing Abuse of Power Biased You’ll stay in your current role for years without a promotion. UBC proves that Women of Color does have to work 5x harder to be recognized. They offer yearly bonuses but you’ll never see it because every year they’ll come up with some excuse. You’re yearly raises will never be over or near 50 cent so you’ll stay in the same dollar amount for at least three/four years. I’d you try to transfer to another program they’ll write you up and keep you in the same position and program. EEOC ASAP
