Pros

Good co-workers, decent benefits, nice location.

Cons

An unpredictable work week with no work-life balance. The work week is usually in the 50-55+ hour range but can be much worse at times. Overlapping projects\tasks to the point where it is not possible to multitask effectively. Flawed resourcing model; PMs, testers, and devs are almost always stuck cleaning up the mess from their previous project so they cannot start their next project on time. Management does nothing to fix the problems that everyone knows exist. There are significant time zone issues to deal with if you are in the London office that add to the long work days. Poor training, low morale; some friendly advice, avoid this company.

Pros

Extremely good team culture. Everyone is helpful and forthcoming. Focused on patient care. Flexible time off. Fully remote and cameras off. Defined process for the most important processes. Amazing how so many people have been with UBC for 10+ years.

Cons

Potential to overwork oneself with back to back to back meetings and heavy client workload.

Pros

It’s just a paycheck until you get on your feet.

Cons

HR is NOT your Friend‼️ Micromanagement Always Changing Abuse of Power Biased You’ll stay in your current role for years without a promotion. UBC proves that Women of Color does have to work 5x harder to be recognized. They offer yearly bonuses but you’ll never see it because every year they’ll come up with some excuse. You’re yearly raises will never be over or near 50 cent so you’ll stay in the same dollar amount for at least three/four years. I’d you try to transfer to another program they’ll write you up and keep you in the same position and program. EEOC ASAP
