Pros
You control your involvement in the delivery process. You have more control over the money you make based upon your availability and work ethic. You can also operate a business within UDS by subcontracting the work received to others in your employ provided UDS has a need for your service and your employees (your business) proves reliable and dependable.
Cons
There is NO security. NO signed contracts prohibiting UDS from snatching all the work your currently receive on a whim or to award it to someone else.
You must own your tools for delivery including your truck or van.
No benefits whatsoever.
Salary is by the "piece delivered". So if your are not running a regular pharmaceutical route with a set number of stops and a consistent daily pay, your pay is subject otherwise to the total number of pieces available for you to deliver on a given day. So, weekly pay is subject to high fluctuation.
