      Great culture, great people, great technology - Technical Program Manager Unity Employee Review

      Pros

      Really wants to solve the hard problems. Jumped on the challenges of Covid-19 and worked to enable the entire company rapidly, rather than try and force people to stay at the office. Very engaged leadership, and a vision of the future of content development that I wish was around when I started my career.

      Cons

      Growing fast, so communication can be a challenge, and being spread over so many times zones can make some serious scheduling headaches. Despite that, people are genuinely accommodating and eager to try and compromise to make the complex schedules work so people can have the discussion, make the decisions, and get back to the business of making our product.

      Pros

      -Flexible WFH environment -Decent work life balance and good benefits for the US based employees

      Cons

      -CEO and CFO insist on being based in New York, when the Company is based in SF. Earnings calls are at 5:30am because screw you West Coast. -CFO will stop at nothing until all the G&A, Accounting, Tax, and, Finance team members are located in Bangalore in an effort to cut costs. Offshoring is massive here and will only continue to expand. -Constant anxiety about layoffs. Sometimes they announce mass layoffs, but more often do it in smaller waves so as to not rattle the cage. -Top heavy org structure. There's probably as many or more SVP, VPs, Sr. Dir level folks as there are individual contributors/leads.
