Pros

Primary Pro is that Work Life Balance falls in favor of life. Vacation time & Sick time are easy to get and use. Office are generally good. Pay is good and benefits are okay but no benefit nothing stands out.

Cons

Future is hard to predict here from one year to the next. Company is owned by a wealthy European and is their personal passion but getting close to retirement. What happens next ? If sales are low one year, might have layoffs. Never clear who is leading and who is following ? Information only flows down and rarely laterally. Things move very slow and in an almost chaotic manner. Each Dept has a lot of independence so working together is negotiable. Redmond Facility has more products and seems more cohesive. Very dependent on legacy people who are always right.

Pros

Knowledgeable and friendly coworkers. Some of the managers appreciate your contributions.

Cons

Upper management feels disconnected from the workers. Benefits eroding that enticed talent to stay. Hybrid schedule is dwindled down to 1 day in a 9/80 schedule. Health insurance was ok when they covered almost 60$ of it for healthy habits. HR seems to be not willing to help or aid when issues with benefits is pointed out, like insurance not paying for procedures. They will gladly tell you to call the affiliated company that negotiates the bills instead of having an internal person that can help you. Upper management can at times sound like they are not trusting the technical staffers to accomplish their jobs. Predominantly seems to be a cultural barrier due to its predominantly being dished out by a particular group of individuals. Literally heard multiple times a upper manager/chief/staff professional verbally belittle or beat down an fellow coworker. Carrier progression is very slow, the expectation is that you work at a higher level job description for 1 or more years before you get the pay and level promotion.
