Pros
Most of the people are nice that work there. The company has been successful because of them. Departments generally work well with one another. The HR department people seem to rate it 5 stars on here. That department must be great.
Cons
I would advise any new hires to view the pay system with extreme suspicion. The variable pay system is highly manipulated by invisible scaling factors and manipulated goal numbers. It is designed to deny you any possibility of raises for any reason. There are no cost of living raises, no performance evaluations or raises, and the company has grown many multiples of times, but yet the shared index hasn't. The formula and adjustment factors have also changed multiple times to insure when the company does better, that salaries do not increase to match. The marketing department has been a disaster zone due to changing directions from the owner and inability to let people do their jobs. The turnover has been really high. The company seems to not be listening to customers and salespeople. The low cost machines are the bread-and-butter that keeps the company afloat, but all the development is for expensive machines that have a hard time selling, and are introduced prematurely before they are finished. The rapid advancement of executives who bring no experience (but learn their buzzwords for meetings!) make every meeting a painful experience for those that do the company's work. Plans to increase sales never work, and the business decisions are not explained or held accountable when they fail. Direction is lacking.
