Pros

You will build genuine relationships and connections with people that you call your friends.

Cons

CEO & COO want to be Mark Zuckerburg so bad! It sounds legitimate, "two Harvard Business School DROPOUTS begin mortgage company with zero intention of additional funding through 2022 and 2023". The 5 star reviews you see on here are individuals who thrive on brown-nosing, ie.: Recruiters, Sales. They'd say anything not to get let go from the shady company called UpEquity. It's apparent that Tim, the CEO, wears the pants and Louis, the COO, just follows him. Their intention was to hire "200 people by end of year", yet they currently have 50 employees. Those who saw through the nonsense and left and those that mysteriously left when the company wasn't hitting revenue and then those that were laid off. They let everyone down, to say the least. How do you project a goal of 200 employees, currently have 50 employees and just made layoffs? That should tell you everything you need to know about their business structure. God forbid the CEO and COO take a pay cut, that goes against their ego. Ego is what runs UpEquity. If you work for this company, be prepared to face company PTSD, Anxiety and Gas-lighting. Do not ask challenging questions at company meetings that make the CEO look bad or you will be retaliated against. Upper management walks on egg shells and is out to get you. Imagine BIG BROTHER- you're being watched and never know where you stand. Unlimited PTO is not actually unlimited, it's capped at 4 weeks. If you go over the 4 weeks (160 hours), you are forbidden to take anymore PTO. You will have no control over work autonomy. Attendance is tracked. Unlimited PTO is tracked. Work from home days are tracked. Your conversations with management become screenshots for future write ups. As I said, imagine BIG BROTHER. Not to mention, managers hire their friends, dismissing any type of equal opportunity for diversity and closing the pay gap. Trust, it's not worth it.

Pros

The company went through hard times a couple years ago and got through them. People that are still here are great and we are growing quickly. Lots of opportunity to make good money. Great office. Great team.

Cons

Changes happen quickly and there is a lot going on.
