Pros
If you know what you're doing and have worked in M&A before this is an excellent gig, in particular if you make an active attempt to get to know people. You can make an absurd amount of money, but it absolutely is not easy.
Cons
If you're not experienced at M&A, cold calling or business sales in general, start elsewhere. This role is fully commission based, which can be quite nice, but you will have to wait months to setup your network, get clients rolling in and see a business sale push commission your way. Don't do this job if you don't have a nest egg that can tide you over for a few months, if you do have that, first, power to you, and second now you've got the runway to make this business and role a sucesss for you.
