Pros
Vermont brand with the credibility to play at a national scale. Certified B Corp that puts the planet and people alongside profit, plenty of company-led volunteer opportunities. The products are truly wonderful and have been developed with a lot of care and intention. I attach a lot of importance to being able to stand behind the brand/product I am working to promote and UM definitely delivers on the promise of clean and effective products. There is lots of dynamic work to go around so if you are someone that enjoys rolling up your sleeves and taking ownership you can definitely take on exciting new projects and workstreams. Flexible working model for the foreseeable future - a mix of WFH and working from the office in Waterbury.
Cons
There can tend to be meetings about meetings (perhaps developed as a result of working from home during COVID and lack of in-person collaboration). The pace of some projects can feel slow despite an entrepreneurial environment. There are some clear bandwidth constraints within certain functions of the business.
