Pros

no micromanagement, simplified task control and several coworkers of other nationalities

Cons

The company does not offer any support for professional growth; There is no well-established culture of reviews or metrics for evaluating results; It grew beyond its operational limits and had to fire good employees on Christmas Eve, even though it had hired them 2 months before. Senior management is incompetent in retaining talent Sales had a lot of difficulty in attracting new projects.

Pros

I worked at Utility as a Senior Product Manager and had a genuinely positive experience. The company strikes a great balance between autonomy and support—I was trusted to lead my projects, had direct collaboration with both clients and engineers, and always felt empowered to drive outcomes. Beyond my day-to-day work, I felt like part of a larger, mission-driven team. There’s a real sense of connection across the product org, and leadership (including the CEO) was not only accessible but genuinely invested in team success. It’s a place where your voice is heard, and the work you do matters.

Cons

At the time they only could employ me part-time.

Pros

As a Senior Product Manager at Utility for nearly five years, I've witnessed the company grow from a smaller boutique agency to a company that invests in its people, culture and processes. The CEO and leadership team are very passionate about building a strong company foundation, focusing on both daily operational improvements and long-term vision. I feel that Utility truly cares about their clients and employees creating an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration and impact. Additionally, my manager and team consistently provide support by collaboratively problem-solving on projects. I would recommend working at Utility because not only are you given autonomy on projects, but also structure and support to make things happen. The teams that I’ve been on are a pleasure to work with, everyone seems to love what they do, and are happy to help each other. Overall the company culture is friendly and positive.

Cons

Sometimes when working remotely you do feel isolated at times, but the optional in-office days that we have are a good way to collaborate face to face. Also, I wish we had some kind of a yearly stipend to take continuing education courses.
