Pros
From the first day of work, it's been clear that V School's priority is taking care of its employees. Even during the hardest times (as a bootstrapped startup), there's always been transparency about our options as employees, and never any guilt trips for employees deciding to go a different direction. Every business transition and decision we've made has been with the students' experience in mind. The company truly isn't interested in making a quick buck - every business decision and pivot has been to improve the outcomes for our students. Generally speaking, work flexibility is outstanding. Because we're a startup, everyone has made their own sacrifices, but unlimited time off without caveats or guilt and very open minds and very little red tape re: new ideas make this an excellent place to work.
Cons
Currently, there are no benefits, and being a startup does mean there are some personal sacrifices to be made.
