Pros
-Open office -As a policy, they hate hardcodes. You are going to gain a lot of strong Excel skills working here. -Your ideas on process improvements will always be welcomed. You get to make a process your own. -Approximately 12 paid holidays and a fairly generous vacation&personal day policy, especially after the three-year mark. -My team got along very well and everyone could make each other laugh and trust one another. I still talk with them almost a year after leaving. -Company culture is trending towards a more relaxed business attire.
Cons
-Expect to work long hours outside of busy seasons -Pay increases became essentially cost-of-living adjustments, much less than what you would expect for accountants to earn. -They try too hard to do more with less. There are fewer accountants/employees for a company this size relative to the industry average, and it shows. -Promotions are relatively few and far between -During my last year the company got rid of fringe benefits such as showers, a downstairs cafe, and subsidized lunches.
