Pros

There are some nice people, big projects means a lot of work.

Cons

Where to begin? I spent 2 years+ asking for work suited to my background and interests and was constantly told it was “in the works”, only to be ghosted. Then in performance reviews I was told I didn’t seem passionate about my current work….possibly because I’d asked for new opportunities for 2 years?! Their solution to my desire for varied project work was not to put me on those teams (which existed and needed help) but to micromanage my time to an insane level, gaslight me that it wasn’t personal, and continue to ignore me. Not to mention the insane tattle and backstabbing culture in the office. Best days - no one talks to you or anyone, everyone works alone and independently. Worst days - crying in the bathroom because your manager told you if you want new experiences you should just work faster and have more time. Which is of course reasonable because you’ll be worked to the bone, given no overtime, and laughably poor bonuses, and told that everyone in the industry should be content to work 55-65 hours a week every week with no pay. The best part? When I finally resigned it was handled so poorly by HR that the HR higher ups and corporate heads had to apologize later. This company does not care about you. Acquisitions seem to be all they want - retention of current employees is not. I brought them my recruitment offer and said I’d like to work out a change in my workload rather than to leave but was told that they weren’t willing to have that conversation. So I left. And it was a breath of fresh air.
