Pros

- Pay was near the top of market. -Had some fantastic teammates and solid mid level leadership (Director's, VP, etc.)

Cons

Accepting a position at VIA is the single biggest regret of my career. I don't know how to best convey this without sounding bitter, but none of the other negative reviews are exaggerating how bad Tejas has been as CEO. I've had quite a few experiences in my career, and nothing has compared to how badly Tejas has mismanaged this company and treated his employees. There was ridiculous amounts of micromanagement, pushing out/firing of anyone that isn't a loyalist, and hiring and laying off entire teams on a whim. There have been entire teams hired then laid off within just a few months, and there have also been entire teams laid off just to have the same positions rehired a few months later. Nothing is secure or stable at VIA because of Tejas. VIA was able to attract quite a bit of talent with sizable compensation packages due to a large funding round, and yet Tejas personally has managed to either drive out or lay off a large portion of that talent. It's likely the company will not exist in its current form for much longer, but if by some chance you are a poor job seeker considering this company, or any company that Tejas has touched, I beg you to seek elsewhere.

Pros

There was a good group of people who had joined.

Cons

Worst CEO I've ever worked for. He believed he was the next Steve Jobs, but was about the furthest thing from it when it came to his understanding of the product and the needs of the business. Horrible people skills, talked behind everyone's back, belittled his employees in from of teams on a daily basis, and refused allow anyone to do the jobs they were hired to do. Micro management doesn't even begin to describe what a day in the life was like a Via. I still have nightmares thinking about working with that CEO again. I highly advise anyone who might stumble across this to steer clear from this person.
