Pros
The work is remote and they were pretty flexible with the locations you could work from. I was also able to work with some really talented colleagues and some of the events also involved international travel to interesting destinations. Unlimited PTO after working there for two years and health insurance was pretty much completely covered by the company.
Cons
There is no organization or structure at this company. The company's senior leadership is out of touch with or choosing to ignore the challenges people face with day to day operation and continue to enforce policies that get in the way of or potentially hurt project successes. The CEO laid off almost half of the company with no warning on a zoom webinar that lasted less than two minutes with no severance and cancelled health benefits the following day. Furthermore, expectations are not clearly outlined for each position and after working for two years I never had any kind of performance review. This also means they are able to avoid giving raises by making it difficult for you to advocate for yourself and you have to fight hard to try and get any kind of raise. With a lack of continuity in supervisors it was also difficult to get the mentorship I wanted or have the chance to work in areas I wanted more experience in, it felt like I was perpetually starting over and it was difficult to grow. They hand out empty compliments and praises to people left and right but real respect and appreciation for employees is ultimately not shown, I would advise anyone looking at jobs here to reconsider.
