Pros

I've been working at the company for a little more than two years. It took a bit of time to learn the product because it's very comprehensive, but my co-workers are knowledgeable, helpful and generally nice to be around. People work hard here and understand the value of our product and what customer service means. Quite a few people at my last job were clearly only there for a paycheck, so it's nice to work at a place where people take pride in their work and are committed to improving the product and process. Overall, I'm grateful to be working here.

Cons

A few people work remotely which can make communication more inconvenient than walking over to someone's desk. Other than that, no complaints.

Pros

I had the opportunity to work with VRC as a consultant. VRC has a significant customer base and a great vision for advancing their technology in the insurance industry. The Executive team all work very closely to collaborate on new product technology and R&D. They were also available and responsive to suggestions. The staff are all hard working with a seemingly high level of autonomy. The opinions of of everyone there seemed to be taken seriously with the ability to drive change from the ground up. All of the employees were very friendly and pleasant to work with. As a consultant, I did not receive PTO or other benefits so I can't comment on that.

Cons

The frustration I saw was more due to the industry lag in adapting to change than that of the company. It was frustrating to have technology ready to deploy without having many companies recptive to new technology or change in general. The location is a beautiful office campus next to a lake, but getting there from L.A. on the 101 could be brutal during rush hour.
