Pros

- gorgeous office with amazing views - tech team was super warm and friendly, was able to sharpen many skills working with them. copywriter is one of the best personalities also - they're great sales people... which may or may not be positive.

Cons

- had I known there was that much nepotism, probably definitely would not have joined the company. a lot of kiss ups. - office politics and competing agendas led to confusion on priorities - do not recommend as a comfortable environment overall for black and brown folks, they may claim to have activist roots, but were extremely tone deaf throughout 2020 - head of HR/operations asked me if I would date anyone in the office, the first and only time we went out to lunch, yet thought discussing Black Lives Matter was "inappropriate for the workplace"

Thank you for your honest feedback. We're glad you found value in working with our tech team and appreciate your recognition of our office space and talented staff. We take your concerns about nepotism, office politics, and workplace culture seriously. These issues undermine the professional environment we strive to create, and we are committed to addressing them through improved hiring practices, clearer organizational priorities, and leadership accountability. Your feedback about the experiences of diverse employees is particularly important to us. In 2020, Insperity hosted an Introduction to Creating an Inclusive Environment session, and we have continued to actively work with employee resource groups regarding diversity to create meaningful change in our workplace culture and policies. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We are committed to creating a more inclusive, equitable, and respectful workplace for all employees.

Pros

VShift has an impressive roster of clients, especially for an agency of its size. The team is incredibly smart and has a ton of passion in their respective fields, which position the agency as a strategic partner rather than order-takers. The NY office is centrally located and has great amenities. There is a hybrid schedule, but leadership has been flexible to meet individual's needs.

Cons

The agency's client roster could be better diversified.

Pros

Some good clients. Some nice, smart, talented people. Offset by a few bad apples.

Cons

A few key, top people are angry, demeaning and petty. You can be a dedicated, honest, hardworking employee, work a 12-hour day, and then wake up the next morning, log on to Slack at 8:30am, or be in a Zoom meeting and unexpectedly witness yourself get slagged in front of your team or your boss for some detail or imagined transgression. It's really too bad, because there are good people at the company, and most produce good work, but a few top folks have some personal problems or undiagnosed personality issues that cause them to be angry, frustrated, and denigrate good, hardworking people. It just wastes time and drags the whole team down for the sake of one or two people working out their personal frustrations. Then management acknowledges this issue, but then fails to address the it and actually promotes those same negative people. Advice to candidates: put your energy elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the workplace culture. We recognize your frustration experiencing public criticism and witnessing lack of accountability for problematic behavior. Your feedback is invaluable, and we are actively working on addressing these cultural issues. We recognize the disconnect between acknowledging problematic behavior and taking corrective action, and we're committed to making meaningful changes. We're working to implement better accountability measures, including performance improvement plans, where needed, and ensuring merit-based decisions. Our goal is to create a more respectful and supportive workplace where all employees can thrive. We take your advice to heart and hope to rebuild the trust and confidence of our talented team members through our actions, not just our words.
