Pros

As a Sales Executive with Vacasa, you have the opportunity to earn a good income. You'll need to self-source extensively, but if you have the skills, you can make a solid salary.

Cons

There are many cons to working at Vacasa as a Sales Executive. There is little to no support from those in leadership positions. Training is nonexistent, there's no sense of teamwork, and you're left entirely on your own to meet your quotas. You’ll frequently find yourself in conflict with the Operations Team, who are overworked and unable to keep up with the company’s rapid growth. Sales Executives are held to inconsistent standards, there are no clear metrics for accountability, and those who perform at a high level are often pushed to their limits. Requesting paid time off is often discouraged, as you may be chastised or made to feel guilty for taking personal time. Although leadership frequently emphasizes the importance of bringing “quality homes” into the property management portfolio, they allow underqualified Sales Executives to onboard subpar properties in less desirable neighborhoods—homes that are unlikely to succeed as short-term rentals, just to meet quota requirements. Vacasa also suffers from high turnover. The company has conducted several RIFs over the past three years, leaving employees feeling that no job is secure. All-company meetings feel more like a song and dance than a meaningful update. The same Sales Executives are highlighted each month, many of whom operate in isolated territories with no competition, while those who truly care about their roles, their homeowners, and the company’s success are often overlooked. There is little room for advancement, and several individuals in leadership roles lack the qualifications necessary for their positions. Ultimately, if you work for Vacasa, you’ll find a select few earning strong incomes, a leadership team doing minimal work while still getting paid well, and a majority of the workforce who are overworked and underappreciated.

Pros

The people that I worked with were great, excellent work life balance.

Cons

Layoffs every quarter just about for the entirety I was with the company, so I never felt I could grow there.
