General Company to work for - Shipping/Receiving Supervisor Valentines Employee Review

Nice clothes and good opportunity but not the best experience

The manager was off putting and too selective wasting time

- The owner, stylists and buyers were very sweet and talented. - Great incentives and they carry beautiful clothes! - It’s a small family business and it’s nice seeing the mom and daughter running it together and growing. (The owner is also very generous and loves what she does) - If you’re into fashion you can learn so much about the designers they carry - The company has high growth potential with the right people and structure in place

I was working in the Marketing team for almost a year at Valentines Austin and this was strictly only regarding the marketing department. - The marketing director who was my manager created a toxic work environment for the team we had. - We were micromanaged, talked to in condescending ways, she would get upset if we did not respond to a text in less than two mins, Knit picked work that was useless to the performance of the business. - If you make one little mistake she would speak to you as if you can’t think for yourself and be rude instead of being a leader and nicely asking you to correct something that is minimal. Mistakes were not possible unless they were hers. - Lunch breaks or going to appointments felt like a hassle to take. I never heard of salary job that you have to make up time you go to a dr appointment if your assigned work is completed for the week/day. - Little room and time to present your ideas + strategies and implement them which led for little room to grow After I quit many of the employees that worked here reached out to me to apologize and acknowledge the bad environment I was in as they saw it happen throughout time. This manager brought down my self esteem and affected my mental health. The other two people who were hired in the marketing rep before me and after me had the same issue but I was the only one the spoke up.
