Pros

Working on Revit. Casual friday's. Close to museums-nice location.

Cons

If you know Revit, you will most likely be working in the Starbucks team which is run by a small group of young, inexperienced and immature Latino project managers who all graduated from Woodbury University. They are very clan-ish, a little too much about the "raza" and they will make sure that newcomers feel unwelcomed, even if those were not the directives from Niccolo Valerio. They give you a very small rope, and at the first sign of trouble, they are ready to smear you and throw you under the bus. This firm loses an average of one employee per month. This is why they are constantly posting job opportunities. Because of the project manager's bad management and bad attitude, you will be working 12 to 14 hour days on average while on salary.

Thank you for providing feedback on your experience at Valerio Architects! Additional support is always available if a team member feels they are unable to accomplish their tasks within a reasonable 8-hour day. We have families and outside interests. Our firm strongly supports maintaining a work-life balance. We also support a team which is respectful and where leadership and resources are readily available. We appreciate your review but are confident our firm does not reflect the conditions identified in your review.

Pros

The team is full of dedicated professionals of all levels. We handle nationwide projects with well-known brands. The projects are challenging and fast paced, team members get to see the process from start to finish. Valerio has grown recently expanding our international offices, New York City and Los Angeles teams and we look forward to Valerio’s 30th anniversary 2024. The team is a truly a great group and very focused.

Cons

This is fast paced and detail oriented work. It is not a con specifically but I wanted to note it for anyone who is not motivated or does not want to be challenged to stay away. Valerio very much promotes from within so it is a great place to start young and grow in the profession.

Pros

-Good filing system, Office standard and Structure,

Cons

The office has significant structural and cultural issues, including unclear and potentially misleading compensation practices. Management employs a fear-based micromanagement style that contributes to high employee turnover. The work environment encourages unhealthy internal competition, and there are ongoing concerns regarding discriminatory behavior and unequal opportunities within the organization.
