      Nice gifts for work anniversary

      Overall the leadership team is racists and likely sexists. If you look at the website you will see there are no people of color in leadership. The management is very quick to fire, reprimand, or scrutinize the work of minority employees. However, consistently overlooks the mistakes, missteps, and bad behavior of the white employees. I had one coworker that admitted to me he watched movies all day and did his work on the weekends, his work was filled with mistakes and the client complained but management didn't even consider firing him. While teammates of color were fired and held accountable for one customer complaint.

      Small ... you get to know management more personally. Good people ... I enjoyed working with my team a great deal.

      Cons

      Gov Contractor -- In today's chaotic world, government contracting is not as stable as it used to be. There is a significant risk of getting laid off.

      Pros

      1 - High morale / positive environment. The teams are strong and the work is fast-paced but is very rewarding. 2 - Excellent management. From the top down, this is one of the best companies I have ever worked for. The CEO is solid and stands by his open-door policy, the company is ran very well, and the rest of the company (COO, CTO, HR, etc) seems like an all-star team. Valiant has some of the most brilliant cybersecurity minds I have ever worked with. Mgmt will go out of their way to assist you and give you the tools you need to get the job done and they will go to bat for you, as well. 3 - Innovative / outside-the-box culture. On our government contract, we were able to push the boundaries of what has been done before and bring in lots of innovation to the fold. You will need to be on top of your game to work here. 4 - Family-oriented & fun events. We had several awesome in-person events three or four times a year and also had different virtual events throughout the year. 5 - Chances for advancement within the company. You have lots of opportunities to grow professionally and advance through mentoring and/or certification bounty programs. I will ALWAYS recommend Valiant Solutions to anyone.

      Cons

      There really aren't many cons at all. Despite the positives of the company, I ultimately left the company because I was given a great opportunity at another government entity.
