Unique teaching experience. Everyday you learn something new. Many experienced teachers to learn from at the middle school, high school, and VTC levels. Never a dull moment! Great place to discover your professional strengths and work on your weaknesses. Students can be challenging at times but for the most part, they are great! Full benefits with paid sick and personal days. These come in handy what you need to take a break and have a mental health day!
Cons
Teachers and staff are not very supported by higher ups. There not enough communication between the leadership team and the direct service educational staff. Clinical services such as OT/PT/Speech were top notch until the recent arrival of the new clinical supervisor. Teachers are not given adequate training on severe behavior management, which can cause unsafe situations to occur. Elementary school is understaffed and unorganized.
