Pros

There are some amazing leaders at VSCU! They want to help you progress and listen to your suggestions. Lindsey Strange is a unicorn in her leadership style! No matter how busy she is, she will make time to listen, give advice and act on any issues.

Cons

Some equipment is older, slower and freezes up often.

Thank you for your long-term dedication and for sharing your experience at Valley Strong! We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate our leadership, especially Lindsey Strange's unique and supportive style. We are rather fond of Lindsey as well. We acknowledge the concerns about older equipment and we continue to work on improving in this area. Your advice to management is valuable, and we welcome the idea to spend more time with the front line to better understand their daily challenges. Thank you for being a part of our team for more than 20 years!

Pros

Strong executive leadership: They have a clear vision and often brings forward great ideas that align with the credit unions mission. Team member appreciation: There is a genuine culture of appreciation. When a team member speaks up, their voices are heard and valued. Robust external opportunities: Credit union offers a wide range of opportunities and resources for both members and employees, including mentorship programs, community events, financial counseling, notary services and more all at their expense, As well as a partial reimbursement for school. Overall, a strong and healthy culture that makes it enjoyable to be around coworkers and even top leadership. I have felt welcomed and valued in every room I have been in at Valley Strong.

Cons

Weak Follow-Through: While the ideas and initiatives are great, the execution and long-term follow-through often fall short. Lack of Communication with Changes: There are frequent changes within the organization, but they are not always clearly communicated to team members, which can lead to confusion. Unclear Leadership Expectations: Leadership could improve transparency and consistency around expectations and the reasoning behind decisions, particularly during periods of transition or change.
