Joining Value Add Softtech (VAST) as a fresher with just 7 months of experience, I could never have imagined the transformation I would go through over the next 10 years. What started as an entry-level role became a deeply fulfilling journey filled with learning, exposure to the latest technologies, and most importantly, an organization that genuinely stands by its people. ________________________________________ 🌟 Culture of Growth and Zero Politics The most refreshing part of working at VAST is its completely politics-free work culture. You won’t find favoritism, biased decision-making, or unhealthy competition here. The organization makes sure that hard work and talent are rewarded fairly, and appraisals are purely merit-based. You can feel confident that your efforts are being noticed, and growth is not just a buzzword — it’s a reality. The culture fosters both professional and personal development, creating a space where people genuinely thrive. ________________________________________ 💼 Meaningful Work, Modern Tech & Real-World Exposure I had the chance to work on both Indian and international client projects, including product-based and service-based engagements. Clients — whether domestic or overseas — are treated with great professionalism, and the delivery standards reflect that. The company actively encourages innovation — with multiple POCs (proofs of concept) and new ideas regularly executed to explore solutions beyond the conventional. VAST keeps pace with the industry by consistently adopting modern technologies and market-relevant tools. Recently, it has moved deeper into AI-driven development, giving team members a chance to work on next-gen platforms. ________________________________________ 🧑‍🏫 Learning Culture, Mentorship & Performance Focus VAST takes upskilling seriously. Trainings on React Native, Python, and other tech stacks are thoughtfully planned and delivered. One standout initiative has been BMS (Bridging Mind & Skill) — designed to help employees build futuristic technical capabilities and resilient mindsets. Although I wasn’t part of it myself, feedback from participants has been extremely positive. Mentorship is outstanding — mentors are approachable, knowledgeable, and sincerely invested in their mentees’ growth. Employees are assigned KRAs (Key Responsibility Areas) and given regular feedback, along with SWOT analysis sessions that promote structured self-improvement. The company supports certifications and encourages employees to constantly learn, stretch, and grow. Non-performing employees are also supported and given multiple chances to improve, with firm decisions only taken when necessary — creating a performance-focused and respectful culture. ________________________________________ 🤝 Teamwork, Agile Practices & Transparent Communication Team bonding and coordination is excellent. Agile methodologies are followed — with daily scrums, update calls, and clear communication of goals and progress. This leads to market-relevant delivery and a strong sense of ownership within teams. Monthly All Hands meetings ensure full transparency — with leadership sharing updates on projects, goals, and future plans. HR policies (leave, POSH, etc.) are also regularly communicated. ________________________________________ 🏡 Hybrid Flexibility VAST supports a hybrid work model — with WFH or WFO options offered depending on project needs. This helps employees maintain both productivity and work-life balance. ________________________________________ 💰 Operations, Payroll & Recognition Payroll is handled by Paysquare and is extremely reliable — in 10 years, I never faced a salary delay. Rewards and recognition are merit-based and frequent, with meaningful appreciation for both individual and team contributions. ________________________________________ ⚽ Employee Wellness, Fun & Engagement Team lunches and outings happen periodically and are always well-organized and enjoyable. Employee engagement includes: • Wellness sessions • Cricket and badminton tournaments • Themed days (Traditional Day, Retro Day) • Celebrations like Diwali, Children’s Day, Garba (which I didn’t attend but received positive feedback from colleagues) ________________________________________ 🧠 COVID-19 Response – A Case Study in Compassion & Stability The way VAST handled the pandemic was exemplary. There were no knee-jerk decisions — everything was handled with calm, care, and clarity. Layoffs and uncertainties were communicated with compassion, and employees were kept informed at every step. It was a great example of an organization that puts people first, even under pressure.

❌ CONS These aren’t really “cons,” but for completeness: • No official transport or canteen facility — though plenty of food options are available nearby. • Parking is available for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, but four-wheeler parking can sometimes get tight. A bit more space/planning could help here.
