Pros

Absolutely none, avoid at all costs.

Cons

got offered the position, told them in the interview that the reason i was applying for the evening position was because of childcare issues. i was offered the job which i was really happy about but it all went downhill from there. the position is remote, so i assumed training would be remote, they then advised it would be a ridiculous amount of time in the middle of swansea city centre 8 weeks of training 9 till 5pm, knowing full well that i had childcare issues, i managed to get my other half to have 2 weeks annual leave and advised i would be able to work in the office for 2 weeks and then the rest remote for training, which they refused. so if you have a family, avoid this company because they have absolutely no understanding of the cost implications of childcare which would have cost more than i was earning just to complete a ridiculously long 8 weeks of training.

Thanks for leaving a review. Obviously we are aware of the situation and think it is only fair to clarify a few things from our perspective. We absolutely understood your desire for a night shift role so that you could be present during the day to provide childcare. We do have a policy for everyone in the business that we don't permit remote working whilst also providing childcare on a permanent basis (of course excluding the recent pandemic or exceptional situations.) We don't feel this is fair to the employee or the business. During our conversations to work with you to organise the training period with a mixture of face to face and remote so that joining us would be possible, it became clear that on the 5pm to 1am shift that you were due to work Monday-Friday, you would also be fully responsible for childcare on a permanent basis and this was not something we could move forward with. We are very sorry that this meant you decided to withdraw from the position and that you were not able to start with us. We are a family friendly business with a lot of flexibility and are proud that we support our parents. We do take this onboard and have looked at how we can make onboarding more flexible and inclusive. We now have a variety of onboarding options available to new starters in the Customer Support team but ultimately this was not about onboarding but ensuring we are fair and consistent to everyone in the team regarding our policies.

Pros

Good people and a nice office in Swansea. Keen to hire from the university and give new graduates a chance. Free fizzy drinks

Cons

Expectations were too high. Veeqo was very quick to promote themselves as a caring employer but would fire you quickly. Probation was tough to pass. I saw people on my team get let go without real opportunities to pass. CEO was quiet and not that engaged with junior people. He wanted business to grow at all costs. Nice guy but a bit mercenrey.
