I do not know where to begin. I applied for a Delivery Driver position with Vegetarian Express. As a professional driver with extensive delivery experience, I was pleased to be accepted for the role. I signed the employment contract, but after only two days I was told not to return to work because of an alleged "inappropriate comment to a female member of staff." This is completely untrue. Absolutely untrue. When I asked for details regarding these alleged comments, I was refused any explanation. I requested clarification because it is unacceptable to accuse someone of misconduct without providing evidence. I also asked to attend work the following day so that we could discuss and clarify the situation, but this request was denied. I later came to understand that there had been no actual complaint made by anyone, and that these allegations were simply an excuse created by management to dismiss me. Furthermore, during my short time there, I noticed that behind the politeness displayed by certain managers was, in reality, quite the opposite attitude. I believe I have been treated unfairly and denied the opportunity to defend myself against allegations that were never properly explained or supported by evidence.
