Pros

Very diverse staff and very diverse customers Exposure to some of the most expensive people and products on the planet Well intentioned company attempting to tech-ify upscale travel, shopping, & dining in one e-commerce / concierge app Company provided Apple products $20 food allowance for nights when you work past 8:00 PM (Every night)

Cons

$20 food allowance still not paid after 6 months and over 10 follow ups with the Chief Finance Officer No matter your position, you are essentially a chat bot with a never ending pile of tasks compiling ranging from booking a last minute taxi or flight for a customer to finding a last minute hotel or villa in a sold out venue. (90% of requests are last minute and need urgent attention) You are not able to build your own book of clients, you have to help whatever comes your way very much like an inbound customer service role. Your commission is dependent on commissions earned, and biased opinions of your co-workers and management. You can earn a lot of commissions but lose them if your co-workers think you did not help out enough with smaller time consuming tasks (like booking a taxi). Very little actual tech and automation involved in the company. Nearly everything is painstakingly manual, time consuming, and customized. The future value of the stocks they offer employees seems bleak once you are on the inside. Customers seem let down and disappointed very often which is sad because they do pay a whole neighborhood worth of Amazon prime memberships just to have access to the app. The leadership seemed to be lacking synergy on priorities and company vision. Some of them are still actively price gauging Grand Prix and US open tickets to make extra money. Expect to feel guilty any time you take a lunch break or pee break because anytime you do, you are “increasing the burden” on your co-workers. No clocking out until every little task is taken care of. Expect 10-12 hour days realistically and even more if you are eyeing a promotion. Even then, I have seen people get promoted just to do even more of the same job, work longer hours, and not sleep even 5 hours straight. But hopefully those stocks are worth a few M’s one day!

Pros

Since being acquired they have still maintained that start up environment but also with the additional benefits of being employed by a large company. It’s amazing to see so many young and new managers, and exciting to try and get there myself. The culture is great and teamwork really strong, my manager has been very supportive and invested in my growth. The work is challenging but each day is different and I find it very enjoyable being responsible for making great things happen for our members.

Cons

You have to work really hard to grow and get new opportunities but if you are prepared to do that then it can pay off You will have to work weekends and evenings sometimes, we service customers 24/7
