I worked at Venn Group for 2.5 years in the London office, having previously been placed by them as a contractor. My experience as a candidate was exceptional; I felt supported and well-informed throughout, which ultimately inspired me to join Venn as a Recruitment Consultant. During my time at Venn, I had the privilege of working with several managers and senior managers, all of whom were kind, driven, and passionate about both the job and the company. The management team genuinely wants you to succeed and will work closely with you to break down KPIs and give you a voice in shaping improvements to team process and how we can all do better. Venn operates a team-based commission structure, which is especially beneficial when you're starting out. Once you pass probation, you begin to share in team success, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Your colleagues are teammates, not competitors, which makes for a friendly workplace culture. Venn Group was a great springboard for my career, and when I decided I wanted to look outside of recruitment for the next step in my career, my manager supported me where he could and offered me the flexibility I needed - my advice to new consultants would be to be as open and honest with your managers as possible, they want to help you and they absolutely will if you ask them to!
