Seems somewhat opportunistically ethical as regards its treatment of employees. You will know rather quickly if you are not popular/in good favour but not by direct feedback. The questions about you to your colleagues will commence and then the company will do what it needs to do to cover itself from a legal perspective. Think chilled work environment.
