Pros
There are some great people at Veritas, and overall it is a good company to be with, that is if you're lucky enough to stay out of the path of executive management.
Cons
Exec management has made some very poor decisions over the past few years, decisions which are hurting the company, hurting employees, and hurting the future of Veritas. Bonuses are not going to be paid out now because of some of these poor decisions, and worse, layoffs are likely coming. Sad that good, hard-working employees have to pay the price for executives who don't ever seem to be held accountable for their incompetence or poor judgment. Everything today is done with short-term thinking, all in an effort to impress the board. They've thrown common sense business management principles out the window.
