Pros
The good thing about Veritas is there are still some good people there who have given their heart and soul to the company for so many years. These are the people I will miss.
Cons
In most companies, it only takes a few bad leaders to completely destroy a company. And here we are with Veritas. CPO executive management at Veritas has made nothing but one bad decision after another trying to develop a whole host of new products that were never ready for prime time, and were never integrated with the flagship product NetBackup. The cost of R&D for these products was hundreds of millions of dollars. ROI = squat. Now, NetBackup suffers from years of neglect and depletion of resources. Too late to catch up. Major layoffs now. Worst management I've seen in 20 years in the industry.
