Pros
Works in multiple complex regulatory industries (automotive and medical), and is moving towards automated manufacturing -Pay/Benefits -Opportunity to be involved in multiple areas around the plant -Small company feel -Implements Lean Six Sigma into daily routine
Cons
The culture here is rotten. Everyone is constantly wondering if they will lose their job the next day. Turnover is extremely high. Employees constantly snap or yell at each other, and do not talk to one another. All facets of production are concerned with their metric rather than meeting a unified goal. -Safety awareness is noted, but safety issues are not prevented completely. -Implements Lean Six Sigma in a manner that does not indicate understanding of the principles. Plant is Lean in label only, not in practice. -Company does not care about employee. Policies and management attitude reflects this -Some operators have not gotten raises in years. Reduces motivation -Broken systems relying on one person, who if not available, can hold up processes -No training, but expected to know how to do job -Restrictive vacation policy - earn days as you work regardless of seniority or level
