Pros
This public library serves a well educated, supportive community and enjoys adequate funding and forward-thinking leadership. Lots of opportunities to propose and execute innovative projects, and support for presenting those things at conferences and in professional networking groups. The building itself was updated in 2013, and so the space is fresh and in good working order. Good pay, excellent vacation/sick/holiday package, stable environment (there are no layoffs here, ever).
Cons
Not a lot of opportunities to move up in the organization. Some "silo" mentality with projects that should involve more staff input.
