Pros

Your co-workers are good and talented people focused on the mission. The mission attracts sharp individuals you can learn from. Unfortunately, they leave or are fired within months.

Cons

There are too many to list, but here are just a few: How do 70/hr weeks sound? Fear = Vessel Culture Get ready to work in circles only to toss it out Disrespect and insults are free and oh-so-motivating ChatGPT and the CEO know what's best - not you Abysmal progress as a company You have zero ability to make your own decisions ....and so much more! NOTE: My advice is to read every single negative review in GD. They are true and accurate. The 5-stars are all fake or forced.

Thank you for sharing this perspective. We’ve heard similar feedback about micromanagement, unclear expectations, and people not having the information or resources they need to do their best work. That’s not the experience we want. We’re working to clarify ownership, improve communication, and ensure teams have better context up front so every step doesn’t feel like an escalation or a struggle. We still have work to do, but we’re actively addressing these areas, and we appreciate you taking the time to raise them.

Pros

Not any I can think of. Perhaps the end of the day or work week when you are "allowed" to go home.

Cons

The CEO you will meet in job interviews is not the same person you will work with. The CEO in interviews is nice, charming, funny and intelligent. You will believe in his mission and want to help. But once you start working there, you will see his real side. It will start with him complaining about how precious his time is and that he does not have time to train you or explain things to you. But he will find time nit pick at your finished work and tell you (in not so nice words) how bad of a job you did. From there it will go down hill until he yells and screams at you on a daily basis. He has also threatened to physically throw employees out of his office. He has cameras in every room and uses them to monitor the work of employees and also what time they arrive and leave work. The hours are unnecessarily long. Almost no one needs to be at their desk 50 hours per week. He will hide behind the explanation of being a "startup" but the company is many years old and has multiple products on the market. The long hours are more of a control thing on his part. Also 5x10x10- 5 days per week in office (No WFH!), 10 hours per day, and 10 days of annual PTO. At some point he will ask you to come in to the office on a Saturday and it will not be a request.

Thank you for taking the time to share this perspective. Feedback like this is important to us, and while we don’t comment on individual situations, we take concerns about culture, leadership, and employee experience seriously. We continue to work to improve communication, clarify expectations, and create a supportive environment for our team. We recognize there is more to do, and we appreciate you raising these issues.
