Upper management doesn’t seem to understand what it is like to work in a lab. They can have ridiculous expectations for the lab while manufacturing is rarely on schedule and makes mistakes constantly. Important things are not always communicated to everyone, especially across all shifts. Staying late is expected but never allowed to leave early. Even leaving exactly on time was looked down upon even if the person came in early.
