Pros
Great reputable company with many locations in the US and abroad. Extremely solvent, competitive and innovative. They are good to their employees and recognize their worth and contribution to the success of the organization. Enjoyed working there very much, and in fact, was ready to settle in and retire there.
Cons
Management should not comment, or presume a lack of technical ability on the first day of interaction. Nor should they do so if the technical knowledge (of accounting) and know how of a person is not required in the role for which the individual was brought in. Speed and accuracy is always a factor when a person has been out of the role for some time and is unfamiliar with the software? Unfortunately, there will always be a learning curve as well, in this type of scenario. I don't think technical ability or knowledge should be construed by management as non existent in someone simply because they are overly cautious about the task they are given until they are comfortable with the software and confident about what they are doing. I was very much in the know how by the time I left.
