Pros

Good benefits It is a very relaxed work environment

Cons

Videa is extremely political, and the senior leadership have unwittingly rewarded those who play the game well. Sometimes it seems as though the tail is wagging the dog (and the dog doesn't know it). Some of the most respected and strong performers have been systematically expunged in political maneuvers. There used to be a sense of excitement that we were going to change the world and innovate. This is no longer the case. The company currently lingers in a slump with no path out.

We have made changes in strategic direction, our internal processes and leadership over recent years but these have been made to make the organization more effective to better meet market demands. It is true, however, that perceptions differ from person to person. The fact is that we are experiencing our strongest year ever and are very encouraged about Videa’s future. Thank you for the feedback and your comments have been socialized with the leadership team.

Pros

This company holds the best of both world's - start-up culture/freedom to innovate and serious backing $$$ by a big company - in the palm of its hands. There are talented people in place to make the platform succeed. Management and even Cox leadership are more than open to hearing suggestions and they genuinely want to empower employees to drive Videa to succeed, which it will. There is a fairly flexible work schedule, generally nice people from a cross-section of industries - tv, advertising and tech - all (mostly) working together to deliver a programmatic solution and grab a large slice of what promises to be a huge market. Benefits are excellent; laid back atmosphere; good perks (WFH policy depending on department; monthly lunches; stocked snack room, with keg, candy jars, volunteer opptys etc.). Ongoing opportunities to learn if you want to.

Cons

Can be somewhat siloed, but this is changing for the better. There are some small growing pains happening with the platform that are typical for software development. But for the employees who do not come from a software background, this can be frustrating.

Thank you for your post! We're happy that you're happy! Our flexible work schedule, along with the benefits that Cox brings, is certainly a plus. And we hear you when you say sometimes silos exist. We strive for consistent communication across the company and know we're not completely there yet, but very glad that you're experiencing positive change recently. Thanks again for the feedback!
