I have worked with this company for over 11 years and can honestly say I have had a great experience working here. I started out as a caption editor and quickly rose up the ladder to managing the production department, and helped innovate new areas of the company including our audio description services. In the 11 years working here, the owners have given me the opportunity to do what I love while providing for my family. I am in my 30s and own a home in Dutchess County. That’s saying something! The work is fairly straightforward; provide a service for those in need. Not only can you have fun watching the varied content that comes through the door, but also know you’re helping enrich someone else’s experience. Over the years we’ve had a few folks bring their own issues from home (the reviews from 2014 spell out enough for ya), but we’ve had as many great folks bring real collaborative efforts to the table to inspire the rest of us to do even better work. I am not going to pretend that this place is Google, but the kind of work, the flexibility from the owners, and the option to remote work are enough for me to give this place a well deserved review!

There are the occasional tight deadlines that have to be met that can lead to overtime, but you get paid for that.

You meet some interesting customers. The product that is generated is mostly of good quality.

Abusive management - I've never been so poorly treated by an employer. Completely unprofessional environment, top to bottom. Money is the only standard. I don't know that any material would be turned away if they got paid. No respect for employees, employees' efforts, extra time spent, efforts to improve operations. Just a terrible company culture - every team despises the other ones and says so openly and repetitiously throughout the day. Management does nothing to correct this. Contradictory direction from managers, supervisors, trainers. They're all just making it up as they go along. Benefits were not as advertised.
