Pros
The branch manager is decent when he's not overly stressed trying to correct upper management's faulty decision making.
Cons
No benefits, and the pay is very very low compared to other security companies. Vinson will underbid to get contracts so they offer less hourly pay. Starting pay is generally in the $8 range with the most you making to be $10 but that's after a few years. Don't count on Vinson being able to provide coverage for you if you have a family emergency. You could be required to stay at your post to work another 8 hours because they are constantly understaffed. No possible advancement unless someone leaves. . Even as an entry level position, the pay is not worth it. Better to start off at a different company that pays better. Also, training is basically nonexistent. You watch some videos on workplace violence but you learn everything else at your job site but ONLY if your trainer actually cares to train you. The only reason you should work here is if you are retired and bored sitting at home
