Pros
- FREE* clothes - Independent Working Style - Events!! - Supporting a small business that promotes sustainability - Supporting a local business too! - Supportive working environment In general, I would describe Vintagewknd as a place where you can learn to work independently. You're often managing a store on your own so it's learning how to manage different areas at once. It's always fun to meet loyal customers that share the same love towards a store you support. I was a customer turned part timer & I have no regrets! The management team always gave me the opportunity to shine! I was able to participate in events which gave me the exposure I needed in my future career. For someone who loves clothes, I loved how creative some of these clothes are! Not to mention unique! I really wanted to stay longer but couldn't :((
Cons
- Long hours! BUT they're more manageable compared to others. The store does close a little later on some days but it's understandable cos of the location - Customer service skills, HEAR ME OUT, with the amount of customers every day, Being able to interact with customers and meeting their needs is a must! I found it helpful to always hear what they're looking for first before recommending. - Independent working style, mainly because you're on your own for every shift which means multitasking! especially during peak periods. It would be nice to have someone assisting but learning how to manage everything in a store on your own is a skill of its own!
