Pros

This agency is a great place to learn the ropes before you are licensed. Admin and supervisors have extensive experience working in and with LA County DMH. A good place to work if you want to transition to LA County employment once licensed. Lots of nice events with food and music. There is also, an excellent diversity roundtable that meets monthly.

Cons

The same as all LACDMH agencies: Too much paperwork and bad process at the county makes it difficult for the contractor agencies in the county to provide services.

Pros

You have your own office/ work station. Nice clinicians. If you’re lucky you’ll get a supportive supervisor who will contribute to your clinical growth. Diverse trainings. Great health insurance!

Cons

Heavy on billing. Some supervisors like to micromanage. No company culture. The IT director likes to police clinicians- be aware! Agency is open from 8am-8pm , if you don’t advocate for yourself , you’ll work long hours with no OT due do clinicians bring salaried employees
