Great staff, great opportunities for promotion, good benefits

Schedules were inflexible, which can be a pro or a con depending on your outlook.

-Work environment and atmosphere -The job interacts with the public and is very customer service heavy. Programming offers room for creativity. Outreach opportunities to be out in the community. -Work/Life balance extremely good for libraries.

-Upward mobility is very slow and caps out if you don't have or desire to acquire a higher Master's degree. There are many job openings but it is quite competitive. -Benefits aren't nearly as good as they used to be. Retainment is difficult.
