Pros
No one really tells you when to work. The only scheduled work you have is the hours you are teaching in the classroom. It's great experience to teach a class on your own.
Cons
The hours can be long, especially the first semester when you're figuring out how to grade efficiently. Also, I would be aware that you will have one week of training before you start teaching - however, I never felt underprepared to teach.
