Pros

I am building an Agency that is designed to take advantage of the trends in the Insurance Industry. Working from home and selling policies across the country allows me to build a business of unlimited size with incredible income potential. I have given up my $1,700 a month office, gasoline costs and other expenses for $19.95 a month. The most important thing I save is TIME. I now have agents working in 11 States and growing. Significant research shows that insurance clients are more open to working with agents through collaborative selling rather than inviting someone into their home. The pay is the best in the industry and includes residuals, bonuses and overrides. We also sell the #1 selling IUL in the industry this past year.

Cons

We have experienced growing pains over the last year. The underwriting at one of our principal carriers, Transamerica, slowed in the middle of last year. That is due to the fact that business at Transamerica grew over 60% in 2014 vs a growth rate of under 5% in the industry. They have hired new underwriters and have fixed the problem, but it was difficult at the time. Other carriers may not have experienced the same slowdown, but their products are not as good as evidenced by the slowdown in their sales vs the growth in ours.
