Pros

VISIMO is a great place to work if you're fresh out of school or looking to switch careers. The teams are small and the hierarchy is pretty flat, usually with just a team lead or VP to report to. This makes it an ideal environment for taking ownership on projects and making suggestions that have an impact. I have been able to build a strong resume working here with quantifiable impacts that I otherwise might not have been able to elsewhere as a new software engineer. There is also a heavy emphasis on learning and development, and the VP of Data Science & Software Development (Dino) really wants you to succeed.

Cons

Unfortunately, a poor strategic vision will hurt the bottom employees the most. The revenue stream for this company is highly volatile with government contracts that are often delayed or that just don't materialize. This is reflected in the lack of raises and low salary - way below the minimum that other places offer. They will prioritize data scientists over software engineers. Get in, get your experience, then get out.
