Pros

I love the ladies in the training higher management departments! Amy, Carolyn , Brittany , and their team!!! They care about the staff , patients , and are doing wonderful as far as how spread thin they are . They respond to emails, encourage their staff, and try their best to help to their ability.

Cons

Unfortunately the company I worked for many years at sold their practice to VIP (Chesapeake innovation) whatever they call themselves anymore bc I can’t keep up. They came in and made so many promises , the ole song and dance of how great it will be joining their growing team . We were not dumb and new it was BS, but what can you do ? Within the first 6 months it was clear to us employees ( 98 percent had been working there 5 to 26 years ) that we were lied to and this company had no intention to improve our lives , however we didn’t know how hard they would make our lives until now years later and we have all but three original staff left , doctors quit, techs , managers, front and all optical at all our locations . Every dept has continuous turn over and a company that had longevity for over twenty years is now completely destroyed for their employees and patients both in a matter of years . No one is happy ,and it has nothing to do with our facility management, EVERYTHING to do with UPPER management! They lied about covering lack of staff and we have constant short staff issues which leaves longer ( 10 to12) hour days DAILY , more responsibilities and work load per person DAILY long term with. NO RAISES ( or maybe 40 cents if your lucky) . They lied said employees come trained and it’s not the staffs responsibility ( lie- we have been training on a daily basis for years now and they never stay long so it’s all extra work with no payout) , we get reprimanded for the issues that are caused by and can only be corrected by upper management/ ceo. You never have a set schedule,or consistent, doctors are over booked consistently leaving you behind daily , and somehow it’s the staff fault , but if every patient can take 20 to 30 mins just to get their work up by the back then how is scheduled every ten mins and then double booked makes sense ? Patients we have had for many years are now leaving , they have seen the change and the consistent downfall . They love the staff and care but no one wants to wait hours , or deal with all the new pointless changes that also take time and add no actual help to running flow . The employees who have suffered through covid and stayed by company ,while others got paid to stay home with family ( paid more money to stay home mind you) got NO APPRECIATION, no raise , just more work and health issues . Oh ,did I mention three employees (long term employees) ended up getting diagnosed with cardiology related issues , all told to cut down the stress and workload ??? Yea , I”m one of them , working a 10 hour with no break ( I mean no break , not exaggerating, NO STOPPING ) with a mask on , in a facility that has broken AC and the temp gage is at83 in most area s, non stop moving and running your body around with no drink or rest breaks catches up !!! The employees who have worked there years found out when we were bought by this company , that they were hiring the new employees at 3 to 6 dollars more hour than the original long term staff( yup the staff training them and ultimately doing more work paid way less ) they even invested in the new employees continued their education ( to get them a promotion) , promoted them after a few months , only to have them leave company soon after ( within a year ) while the long term dedicated employees still stay for the love of their patients and their doctors . This company continues to buy more and more facilities NEVER investing in their current ones they can’t even handle or manage correctly. When you try and make things better you get emailsFROM UPPER MANAGEMENT HEADS - basically stating how dare you even criticize their management and then tell you why your wrong and they are right ( KEEP IN MIND WE ARE ENCOURAGED TO SEND OUR REVIEWS AND IDEAS ON HOW TO IMPROVE ) the advice I gave was advice given by our new employees, old employees and staff in all our facility departments. Benefits- what benefits? The expensive fee taken from us that offers little to no coverage with high deductible or more fees? I know no place is perfect , but this is by far one of the worse run, higher management -money hungry , lazy cooperations I’ve worked for ( and I have a good resume in healthcare) . They can make it better if they want to.

You'll have money to survive on.

Cons

Shady 'top' execs (you're not even sure what their function is other than to bark orders) tell you to bill incorrectly for max revenue. Don't question them-or you'll get canned. No integrity, whatsoever. Don't even try to have a personality because they won't like it. If you're fine with being a soulless worker drone with your eyes and ears closed to what is right and just do only what they tell you to do in order to obtain a paycheck, then this is the place for you.
