Pros

Experience dealing with a distributor

Cons

Completely misrepresented the job posting. A coordinator doesn't deal with direct sales. A coordinator is an admin position. They want to pay you poverty wages to do a higher-level position without the title so they can underpay you. The management is exploitive and are complete frauds.

Pros

You'll get exposure to many aspects of film distribution and delivery. A lot of it is incorrect but it can serve as a starting point for understanding different parts of the process and figuring out your own path.

Cons

The work environment is extremely high-pressure, with expectations to learn what would typically take years of experience in a matter of days. Guidance is minimal to nonexistent, and you’re often told to “figure it out” or find answers on your own. The role itself is significantly misrepresented. You’re expected to perform high-level assistant editor work, graphic design, web development, office management, IT troubleshooting, and handle materials involving contracts and legal language, all without proper training, support, or clear processes. Expectations are inconsistent and frequently contradictory. You may be encouraged to ask questions, but doing so can be met with frustration or unhelpful responses, making it difficult to succeed
