Pros
There are plenty of benefits that employees actually enjoy. The commuter pass and parking program, weekly catered lunches, fitness reimbursement, and the training and other development opportunities.
Cons
The CEO and his management were so focused on making profits, forgetting about balance, the real vision, and company priorities. The current problems were blatantly ignored while taking advantage of employees, neglecting our well being, losing the work-life balanced we were promised! The outcome was overworked, stressed, and unhappy employees who felt frustrated at work which also affected performance in a terrible way!
Instead of actually talking about the decline in performance and resolving the real problem, we were blamed for it and even pressured to perform better! If one would suggest decreasing our load, management would take that against you and accuse you of being incompetent! The CEO being obsessed with getting higher results, will immediately fire anyone who's underperforming and couldn't qualify their insane standards!
Fear is the thing that drives people to keep on no matter how exhausting work gets from the continuous increase of workload, no matter how unreasonable it is. No one wants to get fired just like that, without any back up plan. The job is enjoyable, coworkers were great, and students were a joy to teach. It's just the leadership that makes this company terrible!
