Pros

Fully remote working Access to all benefits Some managers genuinely care for their employees and team but this is extremely limited and I only experienced this in the team I worked for, however I was led to believe before I started that a job was being created for me for when my contract finished within another team after i had been head hunted and my review reflects that team in particular.

Cons

Toxic culture with senior management in a particular department. Top management turn a blind eye to those behaviours. Staff are dismissed without valid reasons or explanations and are quickly cut off from the rest of the business after being gaslit by the senior manager who dismissed them. Your mental health will hit rock bottom with absolutely no support. Unachievable expectations alongside having hopes and dreams raised for your future within the company and very quickly being bought back down if they change there mind with limited feedback as to why.

Pros

I can genuinely say that Vivup is one of the best places I've ever worked, its fully remote and I was a little worried before joining that the company wouldn't be able to deliver on its promise of a great culture, however I was so wrong! The talent that Vivup attracts is fab - everyone is really good at their jobs, collaborative, inclusive and all 'good-eggs'. The business offers flexibility which means everyone feels trusted and I believe that's one reason why people feel empowered to do their best work and to really show up as their full selves, as its encouraged. We get together in person for team meetings and company socials and everyone is so friendly and excited to catch up! Great culture comes from the top and our CEO and Leadership team are very transparent, approachable and quick and decisive decision makers and so sh*t gets done without the politics. I feel heard, valued and supported in my career and very grateful to have found such a lovely place to work!

Cons

As a people person - remote work does sometimes mean I miss the inter-team chit chats, it would be great to have more cross-team meet ups in person.

Pros

- There is a comprehensive leadership development programme and formal full-time training for a large cohort of employees each year. - The CEO genuinely cares about the wellbeing of employees which includes Vivup's customers' employees as well as Vivup's own workforce. We have access to the range of benefits we offer and therefore do practice what we preach. - Being remote means I save time/money on travelling into an office, but there's also regular meet-ups and social events which provides a good balance of autonomy and connection with my colleagues. - The Tech & Data team have incredible experience and working with them each day feels like a constant investment into my own education. - Cyber Essentials / security team is quite "on it" and makes us feel like our work is in safe hands.

Cons

- We are very serious with data protection and have a strict legal/compliance team, this very low risk appetite can sometimes get in the way of innovation, but perhaps is necessary.
