Pros

- Free food on last Friday of the month - Events team - Some good people though not enough

Cons

I was not going to bother with one of these but recent events have compeled me to speak up. A few weeks ago, someone from my company wrote a negative review referencing favouritism and a lack of advancement opportunities, the first review in 3 months and then magically three five star reviews turn up and everybody I know has been trying to find out who posted the last review. I have been encouraged in the past by management to go online and write a positive review and I suspect something similar happened here. This highlights the biggest issue with this company. Rather than try to adress any issues, it's easier to pretend they don't exist. The company tries to frame themselves as caring and some of the management probably genuinely do. In fact I know some do. But in the last month a colleague was sacked for having to take time off to look after a sick child. There's no sick pay and the company makes out that the salary is way above market rate which it is not. Most of my colleagues are struggling and because of high sick levels we have so much work that most are close to burning out which of course leads to more sickness. We are understaffed and though we feed that back nothing changes. There are two sites and the difference in the management is staggering. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't have to fix a claim that someone else who got it before me just couldn't be bothered to actually work. I'm not saying any of this to try to bash the company but there doesn't seem to be any way to make this point anonymously. The staff surveys would be a great way for these frustrations to be heard but since they're not anonymous people fear consequences. It took us years of complaining for them to actually hire cleaners yet the staff briefings always talk about how profitable the company is. Maybe invest in your staff a bit and ditch the favouritism which is so clear to everyone. It's clear to see these things are weighing on the TL staff too as their mood has completely changed from being happy to be there to just trying to get through the day. It feels like people are getting ready to jump ship and I don't blame them. It seems to be a relatively recent shift but my god can it be felt. The atmosphere has changed for the worse. I hope that rather than encourage some reviews to counter this one the company actually takes notice.

Pros

HR are friendly and will always make time for you

Cons

Staff are lazy and do the bare minimum, leaving the hard working staff with more work to deal with for the same pay, including the same Christmas bonus. The company have a very fair dress code and is very chill in my option which is great yet why am I greeted to someones back side in my face everyday yet nothing is said yet I wear a T-shirt and get dress coded for it been too short. Some of the staff have recently formed a bullying gang where they just like to bully anyone and everyone this is also the same on teams which the company use for work purposes. Personal hygiene for most of the staff is shocking, this also includes the toilets which people cannot use correctly. Staff are constantly ill and having to take time off work which goes against them and no sick pay is offered. Hard working staff are not recognised or thanked enough. Instead a directors award was given to one of the biggest bullies within the company which is a kick in the teeth to a lot of people.

Pros

Ok working hours ranging from 8 - 6pm with one in 6 Saturdays. Christmas savings club and Christmas bonus. Recent offering of cross training (although I do believe this is because they want to work the current staff closer to the bone, rather then hiring the staff needed to actually cover these). A high level of diversity.

Cons

Exceptional level of favouritism from management with promotions based on who you know, not what you know (including hiring of best friend in a completely unsuitable senior role). This obviously limits any legitimate progression opportunities. Inconsistent managing across teams. Staff not replaced when desperately needing to do so. I also find it suspicious that the positive reviews on here have recently come after such turmoil within the company (again, friends in high places one would assume). Uptight working atmosphere with nothing to boost it. Wage isn't great. Compassion is non existent.
